ARTIST STATEMENT

My journey as an artist has been continuously shaped and reshaped by the circumstances of life. I began with a classical academic education, where discipline and technical precision were held above all else. That experience gave me a solid foundation, but it also imposed a certain rigidity that at times felt confining. Years later, my postgraduate studies in European studios offered a refreshing contrast , where artistic concept was placed above technical mastery. I was encouraged to think freely, to feel deeply, and to explore ideas without limits. This shift in perspective was not only liberating - it had a profound influence on the direction of my work.

I do not seek drama or the imperfections of this world. I am not drawn to the aesthetics of destruction or chaos. Instead, I strive for silence - a state of inner focus, where one can pause and truly feel. In my works, I search for meditation - both as form and as content and invite the viewer to share in this state.

The central theme of my practice is structures and states of being. These can be vast global systems or the subtle, almost imperceptible rhythms woven into daily life. These structures absorb and envelop; they are at once simple and hypnotic. Through visual repetition, minimalist forms, or monotonous movements, I aim to create a space for contemplation,  an alternative to the noise and fragmentation of the contemporary world.
